If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ve already seen pieces of my life — fashion, healthy living, beauty finds, travel, lake days, family and plenty of real life in between. But there’s only so much you can share in a post or a Reel, and the truth is, there’s a lot more behind @malibumom.
I’m Laura — a wife of 42 years, mom to three grown boys, YaYa to six, and a woman who truly believes that our 50s, 60s and beyond can be some of the best years of our lives.
That belief is really the why behind this space.
I want to share more of what I’m learning, what I love, and what is actually working for me as I continue figuring out how to feel good, look good, stay strong and truly thrive as I age. From wellness and healthy-aging tips to fitness, skincare, beauty, fashion, travel and products I genuinely use and love — if something makes a difference in my life, I want to share it with you.
Because here's the thing: I’ve never believed that getting older means we stop wanting to feel beautiful, strong, confident, adventurous or excited about life. I certainly don’t. I want to keep learning, growing, traveling, taking care of myself, trying new things and becoming the best version of me — at every age.
And I've also learned that thriving isn't only about what we eat, how we exercise or what we put on our skin. Some of the biggest changes in my life have come from doing the work on the inside.
For the past five years, personal growth and emotional healing have been a big part of my journey, including my experience with Emotion Code healing. It's helped me look at myself, my experiences and the way I move through life differently. I haven't shared much about that part of my story on Instagram, but I want to open that door here because there is so much more to healthy aging than what we see in the mirror.
I'm not here because I have all the answers. I don't. I'm here to share my own experience — what I'm learning, what I'm loving, what's working for me, what hasn't, and what I wish I'd known sooner. If something I've learned along the way helps another woman feel better, try something new, take better care of herself or simply feel excited about this season of her life, then sharing it is worth it to me.
